STUMPED AGAIN |
Losing ways have team evaluating future |
Roseville, MN |
Jeraldines struggled once again as League Leaders Knight Cap (17-1) swept them in Friday night's double-header. Game 1 wasn't even close, as Knight Cap pounded them 15-3. Game 2 was a more close fought game, but Jeraldines rally fell short in losing 13-11. With the 2 losses, Jeraldines (8-9-1) has once again fallen below the .500 mark. Since the sweep of Hillcrest in week 3, Jeraldine is 3-8-1. 2 of those win came on forfeits. Some believe that winning the League a year ago was one of the worst things that could've happened to this team. That hunger that was there a year ago has quickly vanished into the night. Team practices have been filled with no shows. That makes it hard for people who show up time and time again. Jeraldines made it to the top by practicing hard, and team dedication. Now, the powers that be have no choice but to take a look at the product, and make some tough decisions. Those that don't want to be here will be gone. Their actions will speak for themselves. Those that don't want to come to practice will be gone. Some members of this team have been here too long to see what's happened and walk away. Strap em on boys, CAUSE ONLY THE STRONG WILL SURVIVE. |

DIVISION TITLE DOWN TO 2 TEAMS |
Blue Fox to battle Night Cap for Division Crown |
Roseville, MN |
In what should be a fun game, Blue Fox will battle Knight Cap for the division title. Knight Cap (17-1) needs just 1 victory to wrap up the title. But, if Blue Fox (15-3) sweeps them, they would win by way of the head to head tiebreaker. Sources say that maybe Knight Cap might be taking this series lightly. They were said to be more concerned with Jeraldines than with Blue Fox. Stay tuned for this one. If Knight Cap does win it, they would probably be forced to move up to class C. At 18-2 or 19-1, the league would have no choice. Last years champs, Jeraldines, were not forced to move up because they were 15-5, and were tied with Hoggsbreath. They won the tiebreaker to win the title. 2 teams were also tied at 14-6, and 1 more at 13-5. This reporter's money is on Night Cap. They seem to hit the ball well, and their defense is also pretty solid. |
THE INSIDE SCOOP |
Knight Cap (17-1) | Played last year as West Industries. Brought their game to the next level. May be forced to move up if they win the title. |
Blue Fox (15-3) | Another solid season for Blue Fox. Finished 3rd last year, and can do no worse this year. Can win the title with a sweep against Knight Cap. |
Hoggsbreath (14-3-1) | Last year's runner up. They were the consensus pick to win it this year. Couldn't take it to the next level. Can do no better then 2nd. |
Viking Electric (10-8) | They've made a big jump from last seasons 5-15 mark. Can do no worse than .500. Can they carry this over to next season? |
Jammers (9-9) | This team is always around the .500 mark at the end of the season. They lack a good defensive presence. |
Hillcrest (9-11) | It was another year of improvement for Hillcrest this year. Has a change to finish higher in the standings than archrival Jeraldines. |
Jeraldines (8-9-1) | Last years division champs have lost their way. Could we see some major house cleaning in the future? |
Schafer Richardson (8-10) | Another middle of the pack team. Can finish .500 with a sweep in the season finale. |
Vito (5-13) | First year team is singing the blues. We all have to start somewhere. |
D'Horn's (4-14) | See Above |
Sonepar USA (0-18) | They need help. Really! They do. |
